The British Council in partnership with SME Networks Phils. Inc has launched the first IELTS Resource Centre in Cebu City.
British Council Country Director Amanda Burrell and SME Director Bright Hwang led the ribbon cutting ceremony together with distinguished guests from the Korean Embassy, Korean Association in Cebu and authorised IELTS registration agents.
IELTS students from SME and other review centres attended the opening of the IELTS Resource Centre. A total of 8 free IELTS tests were raffled off to students present during launch.
The IELTS Resource Centre (IRC) is a mini-library which caters to British Council registered test takers. It has a wide range collection of Cambridge IELTS books and DVDs for both Academic and General Training modules. Equipment such as computers and DVD players are also available for use. All British Council registered test takers may use the IRC for the self-access references and to do some extra preparation.
The IRC is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Saturday.
To avail of the service, test takers must present their British Council Official Receipt together with a valid ID at SME front desk.
